case study

Ever since the early 1900’s, San Francisco has been a hub for design, whether it be fashion, architecture, furniture, art and so much more. In 2006, AIGA San Francisco, in order to reach the diverse design community that resides in the city, organized San Francisco Design Week.

This week is dedicated to highlighting the 38,000 Bay Area professionals as well as local non-profits, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and students. San Francisco Design Week is essentially a city-wide festival that showcases the unique hub of ideas, design, business & entrepreneurial talents that lives in the Bay Area.

onliness statement

San Francisco Design Week is the only festival that focuses on small businesses and designers in order to promote community amongst its attenders by incorporating all areas of design like graphics, architecture, furniture, web, and more.

  • Community – Bay Area start-ups found their start here, so we value our local business and even out-of-town visitors in order to build a bigger and better design community
  • Originality – Seeing new and exciting products or designs is what makes San Francisco Design Week as popular as it is
  • Creativity – Without creativity and innovation, new things cannot continue to be made! We love creativity so that we can further the future.
  • Imagination – Even if it cannot be reached yet, new ideas should constantly be in motion in order to push new designs.
